Welcome to the out of game zone! Here I will attempt to answer any questions you may have. Please note that this entire site is coded by hand and any errors or further questions should be directed to the webmaster Josh, contact below.

What is The Circle?

The Circle is an Alternate Reality Game ^* . It is also a colaborative creation event where the GM (Games Master) leads players through several art forms, including sculpture, cooking, songwriting, and video making. Through several rounds players compete to survive elimination and win the ultimate prize: bragging rights.

What genre of game is this?

Though there is a horror element it is primarily intended to be supernatural/hidden world fantasy. How intense the horror is entirely up to the players and how they interact with the supernatual nature of the game's fae hosts.

Are there any Content Warnings?

Yes, as the subject matter is that of the fae there are quite a few things to be aware of. This is not an exhaustive list and I'll try to put warnings where needed in the game itself where possible. There will be imagery of fungus, rot/decay, insects, and dead animals. Depictions of violence may be extreme for some players. Though the events remain fictional, players may be asked to roleplay out things such as being turned into a deer and pursued by the wild hunt, dragged into the sea by kelpies, or other unpleasant things.

What are the Rules?

• Because of the above and due to personal comfort, the game will be restricted to those 16+. If you're 15 but turing 16 on or before the 2nd of July that's allowable.
• I nor any of the staff assisting the production of the game will ever ask you for your age, real name, or any other personal identifying information.
• Use of AI is strictly prohibited. This game is about human creation. If you're found to be using AI for any task you will be immediately removed from the game and blacklisted from further projects.
• Bigotry of any form is not allowed. You will be immediately removed and blacklisted.
• You must be willing to submit your finished projects via publicly available YouTube videos. They may be as polished or as raw as you desire and in any format from still image slideshows with (non AI) TTS voiceover to highly edited short films.
• Since the game will be primarily conducted over Discord, an account will be necessary.
• Players are responsible for their own creation and interaction with the fictional work at play. Know your own limits.
• Do not break Kayfaybe ^* within game areas except in case of an emergency.

Who are you?

We are Dead Dog Productions, a subset of the Gag Spectrum streamer group. Creators of games and multimedia experiences.

Your Games Master, webpage developer, and general head honcho is Josh PersonalZombie (he/any). A long time creator of projects such as Habit's Fantrials (a series of fanfiction ARGs in the style of EverymanHYBRID) and tasks enthusiast. In this game he will be playing the Siabhra (pronounced "sheev-rah") or one of the Aos Sí (pronounced "eess-shee"). In other words, he's the fae causing problems.

Assisting the GM as the designated player plant and general keeper of the rules is Katie katierazzbunny (slime/bun/she/they).

Additional assistance will be provided by Gordon notamamiboye (he/him/e/em).
